Shady Lane Farm is home to the Gray Family Cemetery, located in Farmington, NH. The first person interred here was Moses Whitehouse in 1828. His wife, Mary, sold Shady Lane Farm and Hide-Away Farm to James A. Gray as part of their daughter Anna's dowry in 1828. James was interred in 1843, leaving the farms, respectively, to his sons, Moses and Sam. There are 13 people (two of whom are Whitehouses) interred here, including 3 children and an infant, along with small stones presumably marking the graves of infants. If you are a descendent of Moses F. Gray (1826-1864) or his brother Samuel N. Gray (1833-1913), this is probably the cemetery that you've been seeking. You can find more information on this cemetery at its Find-A-Grave page here. We maintiain the cemetery so it is accessible. If you would like to visit the cemetery, please contact me.
